Oh The Horror Of Those Gone To Be With The Lord
Can Still Hear Those Of Earth! LOL
Happy "All Saints Day" From Your Local Catholic <<Church>>.
Trick Or Treat?
I believe they can hear and see what is happening on earth; however, they are not God and they cannot hear and make sense of thousands of prayers to them at once. Not only that, why would anyone pray to any saint if they can pray directly to Jesus?

Actually, Jesus said to pray to the Father, in His (Jesus') name, and not directly to Him (Jesus) at all.
Matthew 6:9 After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.
John 14:13-14 And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.

Because it worked - to get some really-good wine made, when it ran out!

Call on the name of the Lord. Have you heard of that?

So you gave a scripture that contradicts what you say and proves what I said?

Why wouldn't they? People pray to their deceased loved ones, why not to saints? People don't have a finite number of daily prayers, you know. They can pray to as many "people' as they want. And many don't agree with you, that the deceased can't hear or make sense of the prayers the living send.

The Catholics are told to pray to the "Saints". We can pray 'for' people, and we can ask other to pray for us, but we are supposed to only 'pray to' God.

You didn't correctly read what I said. I said people who have passed can hear prayers, but not thousand and hundreds or even two at once. They are just human spirits.
