Hi, the power that the Son has comes from the Father, so the Father is Sovereign and above the Son. He ultimately raised Jesus because He is the source of the power. The Son acts on behalf of the Father. God bless.

Im sorry but no...Jesus told his men he would raise up his own body...
And he did,
That is what his men believed he said he could do, and what they saw he did do.
Thats it...case closed.
You can not disagree with this and stay within the world of Christian teachings...
For the moment you try to, you enter into the dark world of the cults....
Yes, I know of cults have many teachings that support the idea that Jesus could not raise up his own body,
Just as many cults have lots of verses to support their soul-sleep teachings that are another error.
But Im telling you that such teachings are error,,,fully in error.
Jesus sent his own spirit to the father.
The spirit of Jesus did not then suddenly fall asleep and need to have the father bump him awake later...
Nor do the spirits of believers fall asleep when they are taken into the arms of the Lord.
And think about it,,,do you really think that the first thing a person wants to do when they finally enter into the very real presence of the Lord it to think about taking a little nap?......thats just silly!

Well He did because God was His source and gave Him all authority in heaven and on earth. He also acts on behalf of the Father. Ultimately the Father raised Him if He is the source.

Well, there are very many Christians who are not in cults who believe that the Father is the source and that the Son is subservient to the Father as is presented in the scriptures.

Maybe many cults do. I am not in a cult. Many Christians who are not in cults understand that we are made alive upon the resurrection. Many scriptures show this.

That is silly The spirit of Jesus returned to the Father just as all our spirits do when we die. The Father is also the author of this. When we die, we automatically take the nap. It is not a decision that we make in heaven. We sleep (die) before we are raised. God bless.
