I know many of us pray that God will send June that same feeling we have when we feel Him in our hearts....the love and peace so overflowing that there is no feeling like it....which He gives to us so freely.
May God work miracles in June...---plus I think this is a beautiful song
Love ya, June.
"I've been left for dead before, but still I fight on...."
Miss June; I found this one quite recently, thanks to someone on C-D, and it resonated deeply with my psyche of late; the realization of the ever-more-rapid passage of time for each of us. The solitary journey we all make, and perhaps our personal need for some consoling and comforting.
Perhaps with such earthy and heartfelt interpretations, and the accompanying knowing head-nodding while we listen, we might have no need for Churchy interpretations or directions? That's my take, anyhow. Intense and personal realizations trump cataloged ones. Y'know, m'dear?
Chris is a sort of modern-day Gordon Lightfoot, with a more personal trend and tone to his lyrics. (BTW, Chris's also a fab git-box player!) This song and his live singing of it brought a few well-felt tears to my otherwise usually cynical eyes.
I've also included a more understandable version of Chris's song by one of my favorite Aussies, Tim Broadbent. You know, soz you can better get a handle on Chris's lyrics.
