But If God persuades man, He cannot fail - see:

Isa 55:11 So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.

So why are you saying contrary to what God is saying in Isaiah 55:11?

If God is going to attempt to persuade someone - Isa 55:11 shows that He CANNOT FAIL!
Right!! Don't put limits on the power of God. It won't do any good anyway God bless.

For those who don't believe that God is able to accomplish whatever He wants to do

Isaiah 46 9 Remember the former things of old,
For I am God, and there is no other;
I am God, and there is none like Me,
10 Declaring the end from the beginning,
And from ancient times things that are not yet done,
Saying, ‘My counsel shall stand,
And I will do all My pleasure,’
11 Calling a bird of prey from the east,
The man who executes My counsel, from a far country.
Indeed I have spoken it;
I will also bring it to pass.
I have purposed it;
I will also do it.

Thank You Father

God bless.

You can't see that though can you?

Paul
I see that verse and chapter talking about Jesus the Christ and the risen King.

Maybe it was a mistranslation. What does YLC say about this one, or perhaps Ray has an answer??
"Should" does mean "will" in this case. Read it in the NASB or NIV:

Isaiah 45:22"Turn to Me and be saved, all the ends of the earth;
For I am God, and there is no other.
23"I have sworn by Myself,
The word has gone forth from My mouth in righteousness
And will not turn back,
That to Me every knee will bow, every tongue will swear allegiance.

Romans 14:11 For it is written,
"AS I LIVE, SAYS THE LORD, EVERY KNEE SHALL BOW TO ME,
AND EVERY TONGUE SHALL GIVE PRAISE TO GOD."

Phil 2:10 so that at the name of Jesus EVERY KNEE WILL BOW, of those who are in heaven and on earth and under the earth,
11 and that every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

God has declared that every tongue that ever existed will swear allegiance to Him. This is a willing oath of loyalty. They will gladly give praise and honor and worship.

Why, pray tell, would those destined for eternal hell willingly swear an oath of loyalty to God?

Even so, don't you think God will try to persuade all men towards salvation via Jesus Christ?

Some say that they will never accept Him. It's a contradiction.

God bless.

I believe God has the power to accomplish His will. Romans 1:24-32 tells us people chose to reject God and He allowed them to do so.

I find its a game of flip-flop. First its some will never accept Christ. God wants to save everyone but some will not come. Then you show them that everyone swears allegiance, and all of sudden now its too late. No no no its too late to come to Christ then, God won't accept it then.

Sheesh. Does God only really want everyone to be saved until everyone actually bows and swears allegiance to Him, and then sends half of them off to hell because its now too late? (Even though He really wants to save everyone). What kind of illogical doctrine is this?

Oops I used logic. Now I must be banished for thinking.

G'night all.
