I think I need to clarify my question as there seems to be some degree of confusion as to what my question entails. When I posted the question, I wasn't referring to nonbelievers but to all Christian believers. Over the years, Christianity has evolved and expanded to create numerous sects that are diverse in their practices and their understanding of the Bible. My question is how can God's Spirit, which is supposedly bestowed on all believers, fail to create a general consensus among believers about Biblical theology? It can only be one of two options: either God doesn't exist or man has created these diverse theologies solely based on personal preference and/or misunderstanding of the original text in which case then that would mean God's Spirit isn't truly in all of us and that many of us are living misguided lives under the guise of devout church goers and self righteous hypocrites. Which is it and how can I know that I am not living a misguided life?

Hi I believe that we are to trust in God, ask Him to lead us in the right way, point out the things, attitudes that we have that may impede our growth, ask Him to show us if we are wrong. I believe that God leads us to what He would have us to know. God bless.

Nero i hear where you are coming from

The good news is very simple and when left in the hands of the Holy Spirit to draw a man to God and then left in the hands of God to work in the new believers life to transform Him into His own image, this way there is no contention and strife.

The Good news is a messsage of God's Grace towards mankind. God showing unconditional favor to man regardless of the condition of the man.

Where it all goes wrong is when we change the message of the good news from God loves you and if you believe in Him you will become what God desires "An expression of His love"to by this shall all men know you are my disciples if you believe all the right doctrines, unfortunately this is how you are judged or discerned to be a believer or not.

Christ died for the ungodly . God demonstrated His love for us while we were still sinners . Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners.

All man does is put faith in this demonstration of God's love and divine favor .The bible even tells us the word of faith is already in our heart , all we have to do is confess it, for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks.

When a man comes to faith he is drawn by the Holy Spirit, the big mistake we as believers make is we take the reigns from there on .
What we usually end up doing is trying to transform other believers to our doctrine , rather than being transformed ourselves in to the expression of God's love.

And when the reigns are in our hands the people we try and share God's love with ,run a mile .

In the psalms David spoke of being surrounded with songs of deliverance ,

We unfortunately have surrounded ourselves with doctrines , instead of being surrounded and lost in His love.

But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord
