Do people accept or understand the sovereignty of God?

(1 Chronicles 13:9-10) God killed Uzzah for touching the ark but in (1 Samuel 5:1) The Philistines carried off the ark.

"But he who did not know, and did what deserved a beating, shall receive a light beating. Every one to whom much is given, of him will much be required; and of him to whom men commit much they will demand the more." - Luke 12:48

I would say yes. Of course, this verse helps those folks on the "faith and works" side of the argument.

(I didn't watch the video.)

Yes God treats men differently, He treats His elect with Love and mercy and Salvation, and He gives the non elect, the seed of the devil, no mercy, no salvation, but wrath and indignation..

God gives to all men liberally. (James 1:5)

While we think of the Christian life as one of ease compared to those without the faith, He is harder on His chosen - for they must have the cross applied to them.
