Jesus preached that we who are His disciples are to watch and pray that we may be counted worthy to escape all the things coming on the earth during the tribulation judgment of earth, and to stand before the Son of Man in heaven [as priests before Him there].
The escaping before the time of that coming great Tribulation is Jesus' doctrine, which He [as God the Word and the Great Glory], wrote of in the tablets of heaven, shown to Enoch by the Watchers, and read by Enoch.
in 1 Enoch [Ethiopian Enoch, which is canon in the Ethiopian Coptic Church], Enoch tells of the time of the great tribulation as the second consumation of sin on earth. Enoch also told of the flood of Noah's time as the first consumation of sin on earth. Jude quotes from Enoch's opening chapter, about that time of His coming at the end of the great tribulation.

Enoch makes it plain that those who are translated to glory escape that tribulation, but those who remain and see that, who repent and forego the works of their hands and call on His name, will not see the glory but will be saved, in His name [in the revealed name of the Son of Man in heaven, whom Enoch saw with God, who was God, who was the Word, who was to come], while those who harden themselves will not be saved.

Beginning with Enoch, then, the doctrine of the "escape" from the earth and translation to glory, of those who watch and pray, living godly sober lives, is taught; and that doctrine is the teaching of the oracles, which are given in the Law, to the namesake people of the New Man name, for them to rehearse until they are all fulfilled.
The rehearsals of the teaching of the perfection of those who are atoned for, so that they may enter into the holy of holies in heaven, as adopted sons of God in the New Man name, were performed yearly, on the Day of Atonement by the High Priest in Israel, who served in the office of Christ, by the Oil of Anointing, until Christ was come.

When He came, His own did not receive Him, but as many as received Him to them gave He power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on/in His name.

Quote:
Luk 21:36 Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.
To escape and stand before the Son of Man in heaven, where He is, since His ascension, is the doctrine of the "Taking Away", which some call the "Rapture", but without understanding what it means to be "taken away", to be "removed from the midst of the world", before that great tribulation can commence.

This thread is a study on the doctrine as it is taught in Enoch and in the Old Testament, in the Living Oracles. It is why I believe in the doctrine of the "Taking Away" of the godly, who watch and pray, before the Tribulation can come on the earth as described in Enoch and in the OT and in the NT.

Beginning with Enoch chapter 1 The Book of Enoch
We see some will be on earth at that time of the tribulation who are called "the elect".
Quote:
[Chapter 1]
1,2, 3 The words of the blessing of Enoch, wherewith he blessed the elect and righteous, who will be living in the day of tribulation, when all the wicked and godless are to be removed. . And he took up his parable and said -Enoch a righteous man, whose eyes were opened by God, saw the vision of the Holy One in the heavens, which the angels showed me, and from them I heard everything, and from them I understood as I saw, but not for this generation, but for a remote one which is for to come.
.

Enoch is written in parables which many of are now understood, since the coming of God the Word, in flesh of second Man creation.

In 1 Enoch chapter 50, Enoch speaks of the translation to glory of the righteous, before the Day of the tribulation to come, and of the repentence of those who see that, and their salvation in the name of the Son of Man [who was to come and who is come].
Quote:
[Chapter 50]
1 And in those days a change shall take place for the holy and elect,
And the light of days shall abide upon them,
And glory and honour shall turn to the holy,
2 On the day of affliction on which evil shall have been treasured up against the sinners.

And the righteous shall be victorious in the name of the Lord of Spirits:
And He will cause the others to witness (this)
That they may repent
And forgo the works of their hands.

3 They shall have no honour through the name of the Lord of Spirits,
Yet through His name shall they be saved,
And the Lord of Spirits will have compassion on them,
For His compassion is great.

4 And He is righteous also in His judgement,
And in the presence of His glory unrighteousness also shall not maintain itself:
At His judgement the unrepentant shall perish before Him.
5 And from henceforth I will have no mercy on them, saith the Lord of Spirits.
Enoch is filled with instruction and comfort, for those who remain alive on earth, who are those who repent after the taking away of those who are translated to Glory before the tribulation can begin. Jesus also gave hope in His parables to those five "virgins" who were not watching and praying and had no "oil" in their lamps for the time of His coming before the tribulation. The door was shut, and they were not able to go in, but were instructed to go buy oil for themselves from the sellers, in the parable.

So what happens to those who go in? Where do they go? What do they do there? -It's all in the Old Testament, in the Living
Oracles commited to the namesake people of the New Man name, for our instruction.
Next post, we'll talk about that great gathering together to the LORD 'in the air" which will come, for those who watch and pray, living godly sober lives, as it is taught in the Living Oracles which were committed only to the namesake people of the New Man name, to rehearse, about that Day.
This is my own understanding of what is written, and it is copyrighted by me; Terrie K-

So, born again in Christ believers who watch and pray, so as to be counted worthy to escape all the things coming on all the inhabitants of the earth and to stand before the Son of Man, are waiting for the heavenly trumpets to sound twice together, which trumpets are oracled in Numbers 10:1-7,

and at the first sounding of them together, the bodies of the dead in Christ will rise from their graves, having been called from the ends of heaven [where Mount Zion/Heavenly Jerusalem is], to be gathered together before the heavenly temple doors, to meet God the Word, our LORD Jesus Christ, there, in their new "garments" of "regenerated flesh", made in the image of the "New Man".

Immediately, the trumpets will sound together a second time, as the signal for we who are alive and remain to rise in regenerated bodies, to meet together with them, all gathered to Christ, to stand before Him, at his heavenly temple door.

He invites us to come in, shut the doors behind us, and celebrate with Him there, our consecration as priests in His New Man name, for a "week" of years, while the great tribulation commences on earth below.

We celebrate as sons of God adopted into the name of the Son of God, Christ come in flesh, who is called the Firstborn Son/the New Man/Israel, by the Father [Isaiah 49]; and who, alone, gets the "Glory" and shares the Glory with we who are His adopted sons.

After the celebration of seven "days" [during Daniel's week of years] then the LORD takes us with Him to earth -if we are counted worthy to rule with Him- while He sets up the true, "New World Order", for the millennium, on earth below.

After that order is set up, we then return to dwell on high in the City of God, our home, where we will be companions of the Watchers -the sons of God in Zion above- and we will rule together with them, for the thousand years, along with those, also, who will be raised from the dead at the end of the seven years' Tribulation; who will have been martyred in the Great Tribulation for their witness of Jesus Christ.

The resurrection of the martyrs to regenerated bodies at the end of the great tribulation will be the end of the first resurrection, which first resurrection began with the resurrection of Jesus Christ and those whom He raised with Him, in regenerated bodies, to present before the Glory on that First of Firstfruits Day, to fulfill the oracle of that Feast of YHWH.

There will be no more resurrections of the righteous after that, as all who enter into the millennial reign as the Blessed of YHWH will be regenerated to their glorified bodies at the end of the tribulation, along with all their seed of Adam who lived as righteous in Christ and who did not fall for the deceptions of the devil and his angels, released to tempt them, at the end of the thousand year Sabbath of Peace for earth.

The time of the gathering to the LORD in the air for the Watching and praying living saints, and the dead in Christ, is told of in Psalm 50.

How they are called to gather and where they gather to, and why, is oracled in Numbers 10:1-7

Who rises first, and where they go, is in Isaiah 26:19-21,
and what happens on earth after they go is in Isaiah 27.

What they do when they go in and shut the doors behind them is oracled in Leviticus chapter 8.

That the gathering together to Him out of the midst of the world before the tribulation is in Psalm 75:2,3, in the original Hebrew.

Next: what the Atonement is about, for the adopted sons, and why the High Priest in Israel rehearsed it once, yearly, as a living oracle of its fulfillment.
