Lovely song, but the god of this world is failing miserably in ruling over us. Soon Jehovah will remove this god, all Christians pray for that day. No doubt our Deliverance Day, will go down in history as one of the best days for humans. I hope we will see that day soon!

funny!, we were taught that song as a child. even the ones teachings us didn't know that it was satan who had the whole world ,(1John 5:19 We know that we originate with God, but the whole world is lying in the power of the wicked one). satan clearly has the world in his hands, because he has managed to blind MANY from the truth, (2Cor. 4:4 whose minds the god of this age has blinded, who do not believe, lest the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine on them).

"god of this world" - Jesus described him as one who likes to steal, kill, and destroy.

Seems like this god is operating in accordance with his character.

More joyful noise from the Doomsday Club, aka JWs.

Or, instead of sitting on the sidelines waiting for the Judgement Day, we can roll up our sleeves and attempt to make it a better world. I'd rather be in that group than the above one.

It's likely disgusting to God to have proud and high-strutting people waiting for the ultimate collapse and "victory" - that likely won't even happen in their lifetime - all while wasting every precious minute and day of their lives. Nice.

What's the benefit of smiling and smirking as though we have it all figured out; that it's all going to crap and we have nothing useful to do in the mean time? It's a smug and proud attitude that isn't supported by Christ's words and actions.

I don’t know what that means, but my point is, we can look forward to seeing Christ face to face and still worship, learn and minister now.

It's not that anybody has anything figured out.

Christians should be about doing the Father's work regardless of what comes of the world. It's exactly what Christ did. He didn't come to save the world... He came to die for the world. And He knew that ahead of time. He had it figured out while still doing the will of God.
