In the beginning God created immortal man.

Sin brought death and pain

Jesus brought the knowledge and way to end the work of Satan and Man.

Jesus was transfigured (Metamorphed) changed, in an instant. Twinkling of an eye one might say.

Jesus said the things He did we can/shall do and more, if we be-live the teachings/sayings. Keep HIs word. Live it.

Questions;

What is the opposite of corrupt flesh?
Does Jesus have a physical body?
Is His physical body divine?

godspeed,

freedom

Answers:

1)The opposite of corrupt flesh (corrupt because of the old sin nature), is a resurrected incorruptable glorified physical body.

2) Yes.

3) His physical body is a glorifed resurrected physical body which belongs to His humanity. ''Divine'' always refers to deity. Jesus Christ is the God man. The unique Person of the universe. His body belongs to His humanity. His divine attributes belong to His deity. The attributes of His deity are separate and distinct from the attributes of His humanity. (Doctrine of Hypostatic Union.)

It's not so much the body that is divine, but His Spirit that is Divine. The body is the house that holds His Holy Spirit, so Christ can be human to walk and talk with mankind.

Now the Body of Christ still bleeds when He cuts Himself or He feels pain when a toothache comes on, or has back pain, but it is the Spirit of Christ that allows the Body to be healed faster. In that respect Christ body is sacred, for it is the House of His Living Spirit.

Jesus Christ is seated at the right hand of God the Father in His resurrected body. The resurrected body is not subject to injury or pain, or death. Concerning the resurrected body of the believer which is the same as Christ's resurrected body, Rev.21:4 says ''there shall be no more death, or pain.''

Christ's resurrected body is glorifed, and incorruptable, and immortal, and is not capable of being hurt or injured, or able to experience pain.

There are the quick and the dead. What is the quick to you?

So if we are to take on the divine nature as Peter spoke of, then are we part of the deity?

What did Jesus say to Thomas after the resurrection? Come touch My wounds. Put thy finger in thy wounds.

God didn't create man immortal at any time. Had Adam and Eve had immortality at one time then they could never BECOME mortal. That defeats the very meaning of immortal. If your immortal it means you can't become mortal.

Paul

Okay, but did He create Adam and Eve to die? Or was it their choice?

That can't be answered because all things WE know are corruptible. I was gonna say a plastic one but that can decay. Everything on earth decays. Time is the enemy that causes decay. So I would say that the opposite of corrupt flesh is energy because energy is incorruptible, neither created nor destroyed.

Does? No, he'd be corruptible as per my theory above. Did he at one time poses a physical body? Absolutely.

Well that depends on what your definition of divine. My definition is #4 in webster's - to be godlike, or have characteristics of a deity. So I would say his physical body could not be godlike but his spirit could.

Hope that made sense...LOL
