Bishop Thomas Paprocki offers 'exorcism in reparation for the sin of same-sex marriage' - UPI.com

Quote:
“Pope Francis is saying that same-sex ‘marriage’ comes from the devil and should be condemned as such,” Paprocki said.

According to the diocese, exorcisms can be used on same-sex marriage because the devil can appear “in various forms of opposition to and persecution of the church.”

Or maybe it's not necessarily a demon, but is instead the sinful nature that plagues us all, telling us that we 'deserve" what we we want. I'm just not a big advocate of finding a demon around every corner.

Or maybe the bishop is a nutjob who's sipped a tad overmuch of the sacrificial wine.

I agree!

The concept that demons make people do evil belongs to the Dark Ages.

I am trying to stop being anti-Catholic,
I was so close too,
Is this true or from a biased source?

The church has no right to attempt to perform exorcisms for they fell apostate long ago.
However if the church repents of their wickedness the covenant will be restored to them and they will again be within the body of Christ.

Please don't judge the whole Church on the misguided actions of one person.

As Rahab was spared for aiding Israel, so shall the Covenant exists for those who do the will of god, regardless of what they believe, whether Catholic, Mormon, Protestant, Jewish, or Muslim....
But for those who seek not,
who ask not,
and knock not, for them the door shall not be opened.

Maybe that's why this happened to the Pope's effigy in Argentina.
