I dont know if it's me or what, but I find that most churches are very far from the truth. It's sad. But many find Christ through personally life experience. And I am not talking about the initial change, but real true change in Christ The church merely remindes us, but the words of our testimonies help us overcome.
1After Jesus was born in Bethlehem in Judea, during the time of King Herod, Magi from the east came to Jerusalem 2and asked, "Where is the one who has been born king of the Jews? We saw his star in the east and have come to worship him."
Again,,,,take a person that is born in an area of the world that will never be reached in his lifetime by the Christian church...
Is the person doomed? ,
without any hope at all?
Does a truck have to drive up and drop off a load of bibles before God can do anything to help these people?...NO!!!!!
We are the body, the arms and legs of Christ, but we are not GOD! God is already there, in the hearts of the people looking to him in prayer..
The fact is, that the person would not be searching for God unless God had already moved the person's heart to begin that search.
The story of Salvation is not "We take the first step to God"
Rather the real story is that God takes the first step and moves in our lives,,,He draws us closer to himself.
Therefore, the person born outside the reach of the current church is still well within the love and hand of God.
That person kneels in prayer and comes face to face with the same God I find in my prayer life.
And that God is drawing us to himself.
I have an advantage, and that is both a blessing and a curse.
I have to answer for the blessings I have received to a higher standard that the people born away from the church's reach.
They have to answer to the light God has given them...
True, God will draw the person and give him/her greater light. And will GET the Christ message to that person. But it is Christ ALONE that saves...his blood , his atonement, his salvation benefits . Right ??!

Ive witnessed some false teaching in many churches, particularly The Prosperity 'gospel' . On TBN TV you find quite a bit more. Also the Word of Faith Teachers on TV.

We in the church understand that there is no salvation outside the cross.
But we also know that there is a limit to how far the message of the church will reach in each generation.
We know full well that millions and billions of people that are alive right now will never hear the message the church seeks to spread.
So what fate do we hand out to such un-churched peoples?
The answer from the Bible is that even if they never hear anything about Jesus, they still have a light that God has given to them.
They are going to be judged according to how that reacted to this light that God gave them.
They have to live up to a standard that is A LOT LOWER than the standard I have to live up to.
The reason is that I have received more than they have received...
and to he that is given more, more is asked.

There's what's considered false teachings in all denominations, even independent house churches.
I'm curious. Who exactly decides what is a false teaching? Since everyone thinks they are right and all preachers can take a single portion of scripture and mold & shape it to say what they want it to say.
The bible being the WORDS of GOD, that's who decides. Trust me, no excuse me, trust GOD your conscience will be PRICKEDDDDDD!!
Forget the preachers....they too, should be in line with the WORD. Write it across your heart, smell it, live it, eat it, drink it, breathe it! That way when you come across all the fake and false stuff (and you will), it will stick out like a sore thumb!
