Yes, the rapture is pre-Tribulational and could occur at any time. The church has no part in the Tribulation. The purpose of the Tribulation is to get Israel to finally turn back toward God, and to finally recognize that Jesus Christ is the Messiah that they rejected. The Tribulation is called the time of Jacobs trouble. (Jeremiah 30:7)

While the Tribulation is taking place on the earth, the church is in Heaven being evaluated at the judgment seat or Bema seat of Christ, and the bride is being made ready for the marriage of the Lamb (Revelation 19:7). In Revelation 19:14 the bride-church-'the armies which are in heaven, clothed in fine linen , white and clean...' are seen following Christ in His return to the earth at the second advent.

Christ does not leave his bride on the earth for seven years during the Great Tribulation, to be beaten up by Satan. Men, how many of you allowed your wife to be beaten up for seven years before you married her?

Christ is the head of the church. If the church were allowed to remain on the earth during the Tribulation, then Christ would either have to abrogate His headship of the church, or else He Himself would be subject to Satan for those seven years. Either way is a blasphemous idea.

The Tribulation cannot begin until the restraining influence of the Holy Spirit is removed from the earth. The Holy Spirit indwells the body of every Church-age believer. When the church is taken up into Heaven, the restraining influence of the Holy Spirit is removed, and the man of sin, the antichrist will be allowed to make his appearence.

I am glad to see that there are still those who realize the reality of the pre-Triibulational rapture. Ilene, that video, if it does survive into the Tribulation, might just help someone to turn to Christ.

1. The Tribulation is for the EARTH DWELLERS - those who dwell on the EARTH

Jacobs Trouble is for ISRAEL and JERUSALEM.

Do not confuse the two. Jacobs Trouble is the latter half of the tribulation and focuses on Israel. That is if you take the Book of Rev. as still future.

2. Yes the armies in heaven are going to be following Christ when He returns and those who are alive and remain on earth are going to be raptured and caught up to meet them in the air as they descend with Christ to earth.

Why would the Bride need to be MADE READY after they have already been raptured / resurrected 7 years earlier? Once the resurrection happpens there is nothing more that needs to be done for and individual in Christ except to rule and reign with Him in His Kingdom. There is nothing that says those who are in heaven are the COMPLETED bride of Christ. Paul says those who are dead in Christ will rise first and then we who are alive and remain UNTIL THE COMING OF THE LORD will be caught up together with them.

3. Why not Christ left His Bride on Earth for 1900+ years being beaten up by Satan. Christ even predicted it. Christians have been and are being murdered, tortured, mocked, and ridiculed for the sake of Christ. God said He would protect us from HIS WRATH not Satan's. The Bride will not be DECIEVED by Satan's lies but that does not mean that she will forego his wrath.

4. Your interpretation of II Thess.2 is a complete inference and pre-trib bias. Nowhere does it say anything about the Holy Spirit indwelling the Church and that she must be raptured out of the world before a tribulation. Talk about seeing what one needs to see. It is funny that you use an argument from silence, in that, the book of Revelation does not mention the Church as a proof that the Church is not on earth but when you read II Thess.2 you see the Church being raptured out of the world all over it. Can we say inconsistancy and prejudice.

The Bible does not teach a pre-trib rapture.

Good post, Mike and that's just what I'm hoping.....that the video will survive long enough after we're gone to help bring people to Christ.

Because there will be born again Christians, lots of them, during the Tribulation!! Many will turn to Jesus during that time.

Yes it most certainly does and it WILL happen.

Ilene, pretribers do not believe that the saints in the Tribulation are part of the Bride. As Mike555 said, the bride is not left on the earth during the tribulation. So how can those born again during the Tribulation be part of the Bride? You are just making confusion out of your own eschatology.

Which still leaves the question as to why the Bride would need to be made ready after already being resurrected 7 years earlier.

It is post tribers who take the saints during the tribulation as part of the Bride - they have all the privleges of those who are in Christ - they get to rule and reign with Him in the earthly Kingdom. Rev.20:4-6.

ILNC, just because you state it does not make it so.

You guys never answer the question or problems proposed to you yet you you just do a bunch of hand waving and then state the opposite. Sorry but that is not taking the Sciptures seriously nor being ready to give a reason as to why you believe something rather just what you believe.

What I am stating is what the Bible teaches. Scripture has already been presented to back up our belief of Pre Tribulation Rapture.

You're the one not making any sense....we could go round and round about this and you will never believe there is going to be a pre-trib rapture and you will never convince me that there won't be. What's the point of arguing in an informative thread about what to do after the Rapture takes place? I didn't start this thread to argue with people about whether or not it's going to happen....I've already said that it WILL happen. Whether you are ready for it or not makes no difference.
