Just like to say a thanks to the preterists on the board for their patience and diligence - I am now learning heavily towards preterism, I feel that it does bring a consistency to the scriptures.

Meerkat...I will now point you to William Bell. Welcome to the Preterist View.
We believe that Jesus Christ, the Messiah, the Son of God, has come to fulfill all the promises given to Israel, reigns as King and Lord, and is the Gospel for all who believe and rest in Him for salvation.
Reformed:
We are reformed in that we believe the five solas of the reformation:
Sola Scriptura – Scripture Alone
Solus Christus – Christ Alone
Sola Gratia – Grace Alone
Sola Fide – Faith Alone
Soli Deo Gloria – The Glory of God Alone
Church:
We believe that the Church is the body of Christ both visibly and invisibly, in heaven and on earth. We believe that the Church is eternally alive in Christ and therefore, all who believe and rest in Him for salvation can never be separated from God. We believe that the members of the Church, while on earth, demonstrate their unity with Christ through the local church. We believe that the local church is to bring healing to the nations through the proclamation of the Gospel, which is accomplished through word and deed.
We will overcome the entire church in time, so that we as the bride of Christ, can heal the nations from the fear, doom and gloom has brought upon the world for so very long, and begin doing what we were called to do, to reconcile all mankind to Jesus Christ, in this life, so that they, may have eternal life, resurrected with Him, Jesus Christ, to overcome the power of Sin, Death, and eternal separation.

Hi meerkat2,
Wow. I guess it was worth coming back. It certainly brings consistency to me. Its nice to actually understand the Bible.
I do not believe in preterism because the book of Revelations was wrote after a vision Apostle John had in 96 A.D.while he was on the isle of Patmos, were was banished there during the reign of Roman Emperor Domitian for his stand to the word of God , that is 26 years after the fall of Jerusalem. Where preterism idealist believe the second coming of Jesus was at 70 A.D.

What is a preterist again? One who believes that Jesus had come again in 70 A.D.? If so.. I cannot see how anyone could believe that.
This is not a debating thread on preterism - just a personal thanks to some people who have helped my understanding of scripture and putting things into context.
