Don't you just cringe when people say this?
It's too cold to go to church.........God will understand.
It's too hot to go to church..........God will understand.
It's raining too hard to go to church..........God will understand.
He will understand what???? That you are too lazy to get off your ars and risk a little discomfort to worship HIM????????????
I was raised to go to church EVERY Sunday........Period.
Serious illness, hospitalization and death are the only things I see as excuses to stay homeon Sunday morning.
It's a shame that all religions don't teach that belief.
How about the people who say, "I have a special relationship with God so I don't need to go to church." Do they really "Keep holy the Lord's Day?"
Just wondering............

Will God understand a very bad hangover? Hopefully it falls under severe illness.

Your concept of what "church" is is different than what the Bible teaches.

I was nodding along with you until that last part.
A close and personal relationship with God is much more important than the ritual of going to church.
And isn't every day the Lord's?
If one man keeps one day over another, don't put a stumbling block in his path.........splinter/plank analogy entered here

I choose to keep everyday holy I live and breath God everyday all day long.
He is the air I breathe, yet I don't go to church building at all anymore.
One don't have to go to church to worship.
