"I have called thee by thy name; thou art mine" Isaiah 43:1
"There is no reason in this life for apology, timidity, misgiving. Each one of us has been born for a purpose. Every one is a personality. No man is a worm of the dust. It is not right to cringe. To crawl is unworthy. The supremacy of personality is the burden of the teaching of Jesus. The gospel lifts the individual from obscurity. All through the Bible the individual soul is exalted above system. Statistics should not overwhelm the spirit. Crowds do not determine one's destiny. Machines are the least permanent of the human order. You are lost in the big city. You are adrift in the small village. The fact is you are never lost. Your are never adrift if you choose to believe in your own supremacy. To believe in your own unconquerable soul is not egotism but sense. God says, ["I have called thee by name, thou art mine."] " Rev. William Ewart Dudley, D.D., Brooklyn, New York
I was reading a little devotional book copyright 1931 and I came across this little gem of a scripture and it so encouraged my soul. I hope it does the same for anyone else who reads it.
Thank you Sun Queen....it is very encouraging and just those few words make me feel loved and wanted by my God. He knows me personally, and loves me in spite of myself!!
When I was praying to my Father this morning, the first thing I always do is send to Him all the love in my heart and soul... and He always responds by sending me His. Today He told me He is humbled by my love for Him... and this brought tears to my eyes. When I tell Him how much I love Him... He tells me He loves me even more and I am blessed. May we all feel His Love in abundance today, tomorrow and always.
