We need to activate that faith by being faithful to the one true God who gave us everything we have.
Yes his work will be finished.

His own word

so is my word that goes out from my mouth:
It will not return to me empty,
but will accomplish what I desire
and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.

Isaiah 55 verse 11

It's a scripture that sticks in the throat of those who cannot believe God will accomplish is desires.

God does have faith in us...The one thing that God gives us in our agency or ability to choose. Because of God's love for us and his desire for us to choose who we want to be and will become, we are independent beings. We believe in fore-ordination and not predestination.

Predestination implies no agency. It will happen no matter what. You can control it. Fore-ordination implies the ability to choose. Like Jona, we have to choose whether or not to obey. We can be cursed for not obeying such as Cain was. Or we can change and obey such as Jona decided to do.

We are fore ordained according to the knowledge of God of our character, however, it is up to us to choose whether or not to do what God has fore ordained us to do. He has faith in us. He has faith in the outcome. The Savior has faith in His Father and in the Holy Ghost. In a small way, like I have faith in my wife, that she will do what's best for our family.

Faith is not a weakness, it is a godly virtue.

What say CD Believers?

Does God have Faith?

Is Faith blind?

Is Faith a Power?

Is it a Substance?

or all the above?

godspeed,

freedom
Yes, he has faith. He knew many will reject Him, but He also knew many will follow Him out of their own free will, and some will even die for Him. He promised eternal life to those who follow Him, and He will keep that promise.

The God who gives life to the dead and calls into being things that were not.Romans 4:17 . Yes God is a faith God .

For God, who said, “Let light shine out of darkness,” made his light shine in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of God’s glory displayed in the face of Christ. 2 Cor 4:6

No faith is not blind, God gives us things to look at to inspire us,to cause not to waver and for us to be fully persuaded that He is able to perform our request.

2 classic cases to make the point that God gives us something to look at that come straight to mind are, God giving Abraham the stars to look at in regards to the promise he gave him about his promised seed, and the other, the faith of the centurion, who saw the similarities between how the authority of Jesus and his authority worked and that inspired him to faith. The scriptures are littered with such cases. I am not talking about Thomas's kind of faith, who wants to see it in the natural first before he would believe. Jesus told us that when we pray, we should believe we have received.

Someone quoted Rom. 3:3 - the NASB is a mostly word for word translation that says...

Rom. 3:3 - What then? If some did not believe, their unbelief will not nullify the faithfulness of God, will it?

It is not that God has faith - but His character is about His faithfulness. It is not saying that He has faith.

I respectfully disagree. God has to have faith that His eyes are, in fact, actually seeing what is really there, just as we have faith that our eyes are seeing correctly. Like when we drive a car, read a book, watch the news on TV, etc. So, the fact that God sees everything does not mean that He does not need faith. He created everything that is by faith.
Yes, God has faith. Lots of it!

Bud
