It depends on what you are listening to. If it's full of swear words and foul language, I don't think one should listen to it. I don't see how that is honoring the Lord.

"Sacred vs. Secular" is a different discussion than "good vs. bad" music. A simple brother or sister with a guitar and a heart full of the Holy Ghost will touch me in ways the best of mere music fails to do.

What do you suppose God thinks of Christians eating at secular restaurants and shopping at secular stores? What about them driving secular cars and drinking secular water? Can't we just Christianize the world and then it would be a more beautiful place?

It's time for me to put on my Christian pajamas and brush my Christian teeth with the Christian toothbrush I bought at the Christian store - (there's a cross on the handle). Kidding, of course.

If the words of the secular music are evil, hateful, proud, occult satanic, hopeless than who should avoid these artists and their songs, plus movies and all media that brings these,..... see demons are attracted to the words and images that enforce turning away from Jesus purpose and ways of Heaven.....But if some types of secular music is managable to Holy Spirit then use it, but you should listen to at least one Christian artist to get Christian Foundantions in Praise to the Lord....... Even Christian Music Artists must avoid the proud self promotion nature of the world so the Lord can bless them musicaly with ideas from Heaven.... if you get trapped and hate secular music and hate the people where you work or neighbours, playing this music there are er-regular demons that may give you proud differences in your body you may have to put down. it is a two way street. Christians can not hate it or love it to much or there will be trouble at both ends.....

Music in general is rather bad. It makes you lose you inhibitions and leads to dancing which can lead to lustful behaviours such as premarital sex and adultery. Secular music in particular is horrible since it's full of sublimial messages about how its ok to not have faith in God and glamorizes drug use, booze and swearing.
