Hi tonytonytony- Like Miss Blue, I really don't care what anyone else says...especially "modern intellectuals." I have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, so I know He's real. I wouldn't make it through one day without Him, so I guess Christianity is for ME today. I tried to follow your post and look up the verses. I didn't really understand it. It brought to my mind all of Mark chapter 4, but especially verses 11-12. Also, the Gospel is easy enough for a child to understand. But we are warned that there will be false teachers and evil doers who try to complicate the Word. See 2 Timothy 4:3 KJV "For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine: but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; and they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables."
The religion of 'christianity' seems to be divided ............... You can keep the "religion" I will take Jesus is the way, the truth, and life
.. and him the mediator between God and man...
"Modern intellectuals" are a varied bunch and "they" don't say all of the things you've attributed to them. It's really a mistake to use such a big brush. It's hard to stay in the lines that way.
Certainly esteeming intellectuals into the wisdom of man is in vain for the Christian life----Colossians 2:8.
Certainly people of another family hate enough of the bible mention unless it's something they want to deal with or fix only----John 8:44.
Great to have the Holy Spirit of God in our heart with the book lived out while we testify about it but all the book is something to talk about and live out if we one of his children----John 8:31.
Examples of intellectuals are merely for the purpose of exposing the John 8:44 people so the John 10 people can click with their kind---2 Cor. 6.
Certainly the John 10 people of their kind make up the church of
Jesus Christ only-----John 17.
This is not politically correct but biblically correct----Romans 3:1-4.
No such thing as all religious people making up the church of
Jesus Christ ever---Romans 3:1-4 and Matthew 7:21-23.
No such thing as all good people making up the church of Jesus Christ
ever---Romans 3:1-4 and Matthew 5:18-20.
No such thing as all grace believers and witty folks with common sense
making up the church of Jesus Christ ever----Romans 3:1-4 and
Romans 6:1.
No doubt the enemy says it's judgmental to talk about who a John 8:44
and John 10 person really is with bible verse examples experienced well.
No doubt the enemy is never convinced the same gospel of Jesus Christ is about at the same time the 3 things with grace, repentance and rebuke too especially with man correcting man----James 5:20 and Romans 6:1.
The enemy saying perfection in Christ is not the goal cause we not perfect people anyway so why not endorse the 90% of the bible we want
only and say the cross and our common sense is all the Christian in us
necessary today----John 8:31 and Romans 3:1-4 and also Isaiah 64:6.
