Bible was written by ancient humans about God. Because its authors were from ancient times, what's in it is limited by the ancient human's knowledge. Lot's of it is now outdated, out right wrong, even absurd.

The Bible is a book of beliefs that are about 4000 years old (plus or minus 500 years) divided into the New and Old Testaments. The Old Testament references "Before the Common Era" (BCE), or Before Christ (BC) in Biblical terms, and the New Testament "Common Era" (CE), or "After Christ" (Anno Domini or "AD") in Biblical terms. The Bible is both a book of history and a book of revelations. The Bible does not not prove or disprove the existence of God or any Supreme Being. It is simply a collection of stories, parables, allegories and teachings, both oral and written that were handed down from generation to generation. The Bible is a book of faith and communication that was a "handbook" for the Jewish religion, and a book of truths for the new Christian religion that bonded persons of faith to common beliefs. The Bible also served as a method to "keep the members" in line in the times of very little written communication. The term "Catholic" means "Universal", hence the "Catholic Church" is the "Universal Church".

The Bible is centered around representation of God or a Supreme Being. Geologists use the Bible as reference to actual occurrences in the past such as the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah as the Biblical time lines and the geological time lines match almost exactly. So the Bible is also a geological book of history to the past.
Bible truth that come in your covenant through Jesus Christ, is through Holy Spirit and all truth comes by him and if other teachers in Churches come and teach their truth then you must be able to find Holy Spirit in that teaching and what they teach should be confirmed by the Lord, or it is not true or, or thoughs questioning the truth needs to find Holy Spirit...... This is the promise of The Lord God to send his Spirit to teach the believers..... In the Old Covenant of the Blessing of Isaac the teacher of the truth where far between and to many people fell to evil or other strange gods, that the Lord God gave the promise to give his Spirit to teach ,..... That when Jesus came all he was called to preach was on Holy Spirit and how to find him and Jesus preached on end times.....and Jesus gave parables and said,... `` If you want to Know what that Parables means then Go Find the Lord and his Spirit will tell you.```....So if you cannot understand what the Bible purpose is than you need to get Holy Spirit in you heart, so pray for the Baptism of Holy Spirit and the Word of God can become alive and fully discrerned and you will be made whole .......
The Bible is a book of spiritual revelations. It is also a book of history, geology, genealogy, ancient civilizations, languages, etc. The Bible is the most multi-purpose book that has been ever been compiled and printed! To appreciate the full resources of the Bible, one needs to have an open mind to spirituality, history and revelations.
