Several online automags report that Chrysler has officially announced the end of the Sebring name. They're taking the current Sebring, do some slight styling changes, big changes on the interior (so Chrysler claims), and changing the V6 to the more powerful Pentastar engine. So far they've only released "teaser" photos ahead of it's release which isn't too far away since it's to be a 2011 model. The Avenger stays the Avenger but has similiar changes.

it would be awsome if it came in a RWD and AWD instead of FWD

They're calling it the Chrysler 200 which makes sense. Having a Chrysler midsize sedan be RWD would also make sense especially if they plan on shooting for Luxuary status. A completely revised sedan like this in RWD would be good except for the CAFE ratings. RWD adds weight. Also, how long is Chrysler going to ride Mercedes' coat tails with their 300, Charger, and Challenger vehicles built upon an outdated Mercedes platform? Chrysler/Dodge use to know how to make RWD vehicles. Why can't they come up with one of their own?

Here's the 2009 concept car called the Chrysler 200.

I remember that concept, its very euro. I like it quite a bit but doubt they would produce it.

I gotta say, that's one wicked looking Chrysler. Wonder if it's still built like junk though. The Sebring should have been killed off years ago. They are on Consumer Reports and Motor Trends #1 most depreciating cars.
I think if Chrysler wants to move up a few notches they should release that prototype to the general public. It looks soooooo much better than all the other crap they are building.

The Sebring was an awful car. It is a great example of why Chrysler has been struggling.

No one will miss it.

The new 200 just needs to be no less a car than the Chevy Malibu.

I like the looks of the 200.

I'd love to see more rear wheeled drive cars on the market. My Lincoln LS (rear wheeled drive) has near 50/50 weight distribution.

SD4020 is right, we need more rwd cars. My rice burner is fwd, of course, but I'd prefer it were rear wheel. I hope eventually the markets both foreign and domestic go back to Rear wheel in most all cars.
