Will 125K get you a small home in a safe but interesting neighborhood in Cincinnati?

For that amount you could find a home in North College Hill, Grosbeck, and Mount Healthy.

What about Northside? I've heard some about that area. Or Norwood ... my fav. band lives there, so naturally I'm interested

Norwood:

Sibcy Cline Realtors® Listing Details: 1832 Courtland Ave

Basically, sibcycline - put in max of 125. Though I would put in a max of 150K and offer less.

good luck w/ Norwood

There are lots of neighborhoods in Cincinnati where you can get a decent house for that price.

If you're looking at Norwood, try the area between Montgomery Road and Carthage Avenue, around Quatman Avenue. It's certainly safe, and the Quatman Cafe is interesting.

Other neighborhoods that haven't been mentioned might include Madison Place or Westwood, maybe even Oakley. The area around the Westwood town hall has a lot of great houses.

Pleasant Ridge is a nice area about 5-7 minutes NE of Narwood along Montgomery Road. 'Bout half-way between Kenwood SC and Narwood's SC.

If you move to Goshen Ohio you can find a nice house for 125,000 and property taxes are good, not out of control like Milford Ohio and NMilford does not even have side walks!
