As the population increases downtown, the demand is greater for all types of restaurants. Complaining about chili parlors in Cincinnati is like complaining about cheesesteaks in Philadelphia or hot-dog stands in NYC.

Perplexing...

Lofts at Ivy Pointe construction to begin soon - Business Courier

Labeled an upscale urban apartment in Union Township (Eastgate).

I guess 2 issues I have with this are that a) The design is becoming way too familiar around here and b) Putting an urban style apartment in Eastgate is like building a bunch of McMansions on 4th Street - it just doesn't go with the area.

No offense to anyone but Clermont County is not the most pedestrian or bicycle friendly community in the area. Sidewalks are rare and a lot of the streets I travel on out there aren't built for cyclists and motorists together - no emergency lanes or shoulders and no signs to warn of bikes. Clermont County has some public transit with CTC but outside of the express service downtown in the morning and evening, there are no mapped routes and no connections between CTC and Metro.

Done with my rant about CleCo. Sorry!

Several more developments like this in the same area, and it could have a little area that is walkable/bikeable, and a transit node that would make CTC more cost-effective.

No its not it completely different, first NYC can be that way i lived their in the 90s on 92th street. You can have a 99cent store next to a whole foods in NYC, not to mention hot dogs stands are HOT DOG STANDS. Cheesteakes in Philly again is like NYC. The thing with Cincinnati is we are just starting out in the business and any little thing could ruin development like Panera because of a ugly Gold star chili. I am not mad about Cincinnati downtown development if i was i would not be on this thread but i think gold star chili could ruin development.

I remember getting a robust hot dog complete with all the fixings in downtown Chicago. Complaing about a Gold Star or Skyline in downtown Cincinnati just goes to show how little the perp really knows about Cincinnati.

The Banks needs a chili parlor. Goldstar would be a suitable one. Wouldn't ruin a thing.

LOL, are you kidding me? How could Gold Star "ruin nice development"?

Are you implying that Gold Star single-handedly dragged down the Tower Place Mall?

Skyline has three locations downtown. Oh, the humanity ...

Gold Star is also responsible for the destruction of Kenyon Barr and Cincy's population decline since the 50s.

Not sure there will be a suitable space available at The Banks until Phase 2 is ready.
