Back to the topic at hand, here is a link to some rehabs in Northside - very nice:

Building Cincinnati: Photos: New Northside NSP2 rehabs

I guess that kind of corresponds with the CitiRama in Northside this year:

Check out the homes of CitiRama 2012 - Business Courier

I personally would take one of the rehabs over the new homes but I do see the appeal. There aren't too many places in Cincinnati proper where you can buy a brand spanking new house.

I agree with you, but neighborhoods get short shrift in City Hall. Unless, of course, the neighborhood is one of the more affluent east side neighborhoods.

The West Side gets plenty of traffic and is by no means empty. Certain neighborhoods have had population decline but it's not like the streets are empty.

That is true, but they are moving in that direction. The things which made the west side the stalwarts of Cincinnati seem to be deterorating. If the population is indeed declining what can be done to bolster it up? I hate to see the west side, where the majority of my paternal family comes from, slip into something very distant from my past.

Evanston has never been one of the preferred, chic east side neighborhoods but it looks like it's next in line for redevelopment.
