Quick question.

How much does a typical studio or 1 bedroom apartment run for in Oakley, Hyde Park, or any other "decent" neighborhood close to downtown?

By decent, I mean safe, not isolated, and close to the CBD. I am only asking because I am fearing more and more the cost to commute from Beavercreek to the CBD, especially with the cost of gas. I am just trying to compare a lease/sublease with a short commute vs. no rent and a 60-65 mile commute. Commute may not be everyday, but could be. Let's say 3-4 days a week.

On that note, how much is a typical downtown monthly parking pass? Trying to decide if it would be worth it, or to pay the daily (or weekly?) rates.

This position is just till the end of July, and would begin soon, but I would not be able to move in until May 5th due to school. I know the age-old rule of "drive around looking for the 'for-rent' signs" rule is in play, but what other resources are available to see rentals and subleases besides the obvious Craigslist?
