Finally had a chance to try it this weekend. Excellent. As good as Price Hill or Dixie or maybe even a bit better. Plenty of meat and it was not runny with water. Great flavor with some added spices I have not tasted in the other chili parlors in the area.

Service was good too. In fact, I am pretty pleased with the service I have received in the local stores and restaurants to date. Even though I am not living there yet, it is nice to see I will receive better service by people that behave in a professional manner than I have in Indianapolis or Kansas City. Once I get by tax time I plan to tackle the work that needs to be done at my house to get it into move in condition. Should be ready by this Summer!

Glad you enjoyed Camp Washington Chili. Always heard it was good. Just never had a good reason to go and try it, had plenty to chose from on the East Side where I lived. Many people from outside of Cincinnati cannot understand the East/West Side thing. But once you get here it is quite easy to understand.

When you see that broad flat Millcreek valley which separates the East from the West side of the City and then you recognize the hills which run up from it, then you begin to realize the natural terrain differences which separate the two halves of the City.

My son was born and raised on the East Side. His wife was born and raised in Dayton. When they graduated from UC and were married, they decided to buy a house on the West Side where they still are. I consider them West Siders today, as they rarely come to the East Side except to visit us. Why should they, if they can't find what they want on the West Side they go downtown.

At times it is portrayed as though some huge animosity exists between the East and West Sides in Cincinnati. I feel that is a bunch of bunk. It is a simple fact of life if you don't have a good reason to go across that no-mans-land called the Millcreek valley, why do it?

I am glad since you are still exploring you went to Camp Washington Chili. To me that is the West Side. Why, because it is west of I-75 which is my line of demarcation. Yea I know historically the division between East and West was Vine St, but I decided I-75 was much easier to keep track of.

Camp Washington's cheese coneys are good. Just "down the road" from the Clifton Skyline.
