Second, you aren't the only person who knows a Cincinnati police officer. I know multiple. Here's what one says about "gangs" in Cincinnati; and I quote:

"They are just a bunch bored a$$ posers who have nothing better to do than to walk around at night trying to look tough. They would $h!t their pants if they ever met a real gang member."
... This isn't the only thread I "consistently post in". It just got my attention the most. And yeah, I have a word document with a huge thread of making cincinnati a better place, just wait, it's in the works... And for the last thing you said about the police officer, I've heard that at least 20 times.

And yeah I do have an idea of what I'm talking about since I have a cousin who is in the Cincinnati Police who tells me about what goes on and about his job and the effect it has on his family life. You need to shut up, no offense, but if you want proof of a biker gang:

You honestly must live in Hartwell with wooden boards over your windows, and only come out once a year. Also, did I say we had a gang PROBLEM? No, it may sound like it with the way I defend my statements but there isn't one yet.
AGAIN, news. And if you seriously want to tell yourself you know more about this City than I do, go ahead, but i can tell you that you are wrong. Big deal, my cousin is a police officer too Einstein. So I guess we are even. Um, no--we are not- I also work with the police on issues in my neighborhood. I attend monthly Dist 4 police meetings. If you ask your cousin about someone very involved in the neighborhood of Hartwell--he/she should know me by name. Most police do. And look, I watch the news but take every thing reported with a grain of salt. Did you by chance happen to see the story about a shooting in Hartwell this month? Not one piece of that news reported was correct, how do i know? I WAS THERE. What they reported was a random man was just walking down a street in Hartwell was shot which was not the case. THEREFORE anyone who did see it would think it is not safe to walk the streets in Hartwell. Of course the victim and numerous residents gave tons of info to the police and people were arrested. It was an isolated situation where the victim was targeted AND didnt even live in the neighborhood. As a matter of fact, no one involved l lived in the neighborhood. News stations look for stories and hype them up so people tune in. Good for you for falling for it.
Let me tell you something else Higgins, dont EVER tell me to shut up or try to say you know more than I do, because i can tell you, I have volunteered countless hours in my neighborhood and this City for 10 years now. I grew up in west chester, lived in fairfield and now proudly call Hartwell IN the City of CIncinnati my home. I know this City, and I know people like you.
I could mop the floor with a know it all like you who thinks they are so smart because they turn on a tv and watch the news. You have really pushed a button with me, when you have 1/2 as much hands on knowledge with this CIty as i do, let me know. I might perhaps then take you a little more seriously, until then, go **** up someone else's tree.

Hartwell Girl... You obviously got pissed off and I don't blame you. Sometimes people take an attitude of superiority hard to understand. The poster in question here has now started another thread claimed to be the most knowledgable for anyone desiring information on Cincinnati. I took a look at the first version and found nothing more than a disorganized table of contents with no content. They really need to establish their own website and not occupy space in this public forum. This is my opinion, what do others think?

Default gangs in cincinnati

well let's see! really not as much as some BUT more (alot) then others.
People don't take time to look around then until it is to late.
So The ones that are there are not being seen yet and the ones that a person can see are not the ones you have to worry about!!

Default Price Hill Gangs

Earlier this week I was told by a CPS teacher that there is a gang war going on right now related to the shooting of the 17 year old on Iliff Avenue in Price Hill on Feb 13th. Seems its the West Price Hill gang against the East Price Hill gang. Funny part is that these CPS scholar-gangbangers have it mixed up. The East Price Hill gang is from a neighborhood (Iliff area) west of the West Price Hill gang's neighborhood (McPherson area). Go figure.

If someone would give them some markesmanship insutruction there would be a lot fewer of them. Geez, if you count the bullets expended per dead gangbanger and divide by the injuries to the innocent bystanders, you have a pretty bad ratio.

Wow, this thread has been alive since 2007. Ahh well, I might as well throw my $.02 into the fray. Are there gangs in Cincinnati? Sure. They're groups of kids who hang out and get into trouble. Some commit crimes. Some get a hold of weapons. Some sell drugs.

Are they prevalent? I'd say that their prevalence is inversely proportional to the amount of trouble that they cause.
