Hey Everyone,

I am sure you have enjoyed the mild weather of late here in Cincinnati, but we're finally getting another taste of true winter. Do you recall the big storm and cold outbreak of the first 4 days, and the snow we had the first week of this month? How quickly that excitement faded.

Well, arctic air is racing back our way for the New Year! Highs will be in the 20s on New Year's Day, and only near 20 on the 2nd, with lows in the single digits by the morning of the 3rd!

Now if we can only get a good 6-inch snowstorm...

I would be happy to just skip the 6-inch snowstorm. I drove to work during that first snow and it was a nightmare. I live near Loveland and work in Beaver Creek up by Dayton. 275 was cleaned up well, heavy volume but traffic moved fine. 75 was fine until I got to around Franklin. It was like the Dayton area did nothing to prepare for the snow. I saw 10-15 cars in the ditch. I watched one car slide into another. Another car almost slid into me. People drive like idiots in the snow here. I hate wasting vacation days because of snow.

Stay away snow! I guess I'm ok with snow if it snows at night and is cleaned up by morning. Snow makes the cold worthwhile.

Growing up in Chicago, driving in snow was second nature...maybe because we had more of it and got used to it. Eiether way, it amazes me how quickly things get ugly here when snow starts to fall... Since I know when it's going to snow, I try to avoid unnecessary driving here and prefer to just sit back and watch it fall...

I like the snow. I enjoy looking at the fluffy white stuff. Bring more of it!

When I first moved to Cincinnati from Cleveland, I was lying in bed one morning listening to the radio announce all the school closings. Imagine my surprise when I looked out the window, all excited about an appreciable snowfall, to see the tips of the grass blades!

My favorite thing to do when it snowed in Cincinnati was to get out and drive! Wheeeeeeee!
