So I'm looking for wedding venues in Cincinnati but I don't want a traditional wedding. I'm looking for something more laid-back and cool in an urban setting. Also I'm planning for around 130 people. I found this place, Mayday, and it looks great and has all that I'm looking for, plus it's right by spring grove cemetery. However, my family is concerned about guests and their cars not being safe parked along the streets there at night. Can anyone tell me if I should worry about safety in that location? The last thing I'd want was trouble for my guests. Thanks!

I had no idea that Mayday did receptions! The venue looks really cool. I think parking issues would be solved with valet parking. Talk to the people doing the event booking, they can offer solutions.

If your family wants a "safer" feeling environment check out 20th Century Theater in Oakley.
20th Century Theater HOME

I've done several charity events there over the years and the owners are wonderful to work with.

Mayday would be very unique! You and your guests would be fine there. The only challenge may be parking - they don't have a lot. Maybe the owners would have a suggestion?

Sounds like some interesting wedding venues in Northside. I would have to explore Laurel Court just to experience its opulence.

ask the venue about parking- your guests will be fine- no one will be murdered or robbed.

For a wedding I would want a little more assurance other than your guests won't be murdered or robbed. Ask the venue for some recent examples of events they have hosted, crowd size, etc. How was parking dealt with? Ask to contact some of the principles of those events to see how their experience was.

It's not necessary to stick to only one place while you plan your wedding, as I did in my wedding. I come to know about Craigrownie and they planned my wedding at a beautiful place called Scottish Castle. And I am thankful to them for wonderful arrangements.
