Relocating from the Northern VA/Washington Metro Area to work in downtown Cincinnati. I want to live in Kentucky, and am obviously familiar with horrible traffic. That said, I want to spend as little time in traffic as possible, while living in one of the nicer Northern KY communities. I've just begun research, but have read about Fort Thomas, Erlanger, Independence etc... For an example, let's compare commutes from Fort Thomas (closer) vs. Independence (farther) to downtown Cincinnati, during and around the rush hour(s).

All feedback is welcome!

Many Thanks

If there's a wreck on one bridge then all the bridges become nightmares.

Fort Thomas vs Independence is not even close per commute wise. Maybe 10 to 20 minutes to downtown from Ft Thomas during rush hour. 45 minutes to an hour out to Independence via 471-275-Ky17. Fort Thomas and Independence are very different. Fort Thomas is older town with walkable business districts and houses with character. Independence is a cliché sprawl suburb with lots of houses built in the past 20 years.
