I was in Cincinnati a couple of weeks ago and I have to say that the
beggers on the street corners are by far the most polite I have run
into. I looked at the FBI crime statistics before I left and was a bit
alarmed but there were a lot of police officers in the downtown area
and I never felt threatened. The only thing I could complain about would
be the lack of services (hospitals, 24 hour pharmacies, etc. ) in the
downtown. There was a blues festival going on and an Italian festival
across the river. Some pretty decent restaurants there too.

Because Chief Streicher says he is going to lay off 200 officers, you believe that? You do know he has to answer to people right? He doesn't work for himself and answer to himself. Believe me, that will be a big fight for him. He has a lot of other places to make cuts before touching one police officers position.

Ya, you get worse and worse each time.

Do some research. One more time I will say that, you seem to not understand that concept.

2001 there were riots, there have been huge changes since then. I can tell I am the one here with the knowledge on OTR and you do not have a clue. Did you not read my last post? Did you not notice there are people from all over the country moving into this neighborhood?

Go to UrbanOhio and check out all the construction going on in the neigborhood.

Each post you reply back to, the credibility I give you on the subject just keeps going down.

Also, there have been even bigger riots in the past in other cities, but you fail to realize that. And a shooting going on with a band?

Ok, there are shootings that happen all the time in MAJOR cities, key words there are MAJOR CITIES!

If you do not do research, and keep listing things that YOU HEARD or YOU SAW, then I do not believe you, and will continue to do so.

But you can't hide the fact that OTR is doing a great job and changing its image, and has been doing so for years. I think you hate the fact that it is doing well, so you will continue to be negative on OTR.

Maybe if he brought most of those "Revenue Enhancement" cruisers off I-71 & I-75, he'd have enough manpower to police the areas with more crime. just a thought...

I would never live in OTR, although the projects and revitalization seems to be a positive... much Tremont area of Cleveland. Hopefully, in a few years it will be greatly improved.. but until then you really CAN'T compare OTR to Colerain.
