cincinnati is a progressive city with a vast, vocal, conservative, suburban hinterland

I'm "all ears" if you have anything positive or negative to say about P&G, or cinci in general.

Thanks
Rent the movie Stepford Wives before you take a job with P&G.

Hey most corporate jobs are STEPFORD when you get right down to it. Just because work is a certain way, doesn't mean you can't have a great life while they pay you for it. You just have to keep work and home separate - which most of us corporate drones learned long ago.

wow, thanks for all the helpful info. I also appreciate all the motivational comments. I will certainly take the job if I can get in with P&G. Being in marketing, P&G would be a perfect place for me to work.

Up here in Michigan, there are plenty of lakes (both large and small) all over the place. In the summer, we love to go boating, water skiing, etc. From the map, I don't see a whole lot of water in the area. (excluding the river of course)

What about East Fork Lake? Is that a lake that people boat on in the summer? It doesn't appear to be too far from the downtown area.

There is lots of boating on East Fork. It isn't that far from downtown but I couldn't give you a number.

Another popular lake for boating is at Ceasar Creek State park to the north. Its a little further away from downtown but also popular.

Here is a link to the Ohio State Parks website. They have info about facilities etc at the parks.

PG is such a great company. I used to work in Cincinnati with PG for 10 years, and now I reside in CA State with PG.

I did not like Cincinnati weather though because it was hot and sticky in the summer, and it was rainy, cloudy, and snowy in the winter.

I wouldn't say we have the southern feel because in the South they speak to each other and also I have never experienced being stared at when I go to a place where I am not the norm like in Cinti and lady I work with move here from NOrth Carolina and she has been here in a two years and still ask me why do people (I won't say the race) still stare at her I said they don't do that in NC she saids no (Not sure) but I think Cinti is not southern or hospitable actually its more closeminded

Default to Lydunn

I went to UC and had a few instructors that worked there. P&G does not like to hire people with "experience", they want you fresh out of college and you'd better have a 3.5 or better from a good college. AND a tight network. It is a great company but like you I applied and could not get in---well I almost got in to 'test' for a job but I started a new job on the same day. When I tried a few years later I never heard anything back.. : (
