Does anyone know what happened to the big sixty shops, and what was on the hamburgers?

Default Prime and Wine!

I haven't thought of Prime and Wine for years!! Wasn't that close to Kenwood Mall? Speaking of Kenwood Mall, remember the little cafe in the mall called The Copper Kettle? My Mom used to take me in there for a grilled cheese sandwich.

Yes, I remember those restaurants and McIntoshes on Galbraith. Prom dinner was at McIntoshes - we thought we were so grown up! LOL. I still miss the salad bar at Prime and Wine.

Esther Price's candy counter is a good sub for the one at Shillitos.[/quote]

I remember years ago before Dad would buy Ester Price candy, he bought Fannie Farmer candy for Mom. I also seem to remember inside Shillitos was a Copper Kettle, I may be wrong but I'm trying to think back 40-45 years ago . I have posted on here before wasn't there a Wiggins Resturant at Fountains square? If not does anyone remember what this place was called. I fond memories with my Mother there. After all is said and done, I still can't come to Cincinnati and leave without having a Frisish Fish sandwich, onion rings and cherry coke with tarter sauce on the side. Hyden

Yep, there was a Wiggins Tavern. Its building had a beam-and-white-stucco facade on the upper floors for an English effect. If memory serves me correctly (never a sure thing, lol) it stood on the east side of Vine St between 4th and 5th.
Does anyone recall Peri's Pancakes at Government Square near the old Greyhound bus station? I never set foot in there, but it had a big flashy sign in front. "Peri's" was outlined in cursive letters filled with blinking incandescent light bulbs, against a purple background.

I remember that place since there was a picket in front of the restaurant as there was a permanent strike at the place. I think that I remember seeing him there from about 1970-75.

The guy was a professional picket. He was NOT a restaurant employee but a guy to hold up a sign.

What about the ice cream shop in Pogues in Northgate Mall? I remember being able to look down into the fountain. My brother and I would toss pennies from the balcony. It felt like we were 100 feet up~

Zero recall of that one, but I'll never forget the "ice cream bridge" at Pogue's downtown.
