My Mom was a waitress at Lenhardt's in Reading and after it closed she went to work at the one in Clifton. I worked with her in Clifton. Loved the Rohmschnitzel and their potato pancakes!

^^

My guess would be 1970-72 on the date of the Frisch's menu. And I believe that the menu is actually a curb service menu from the carhop section of the menu.

So here's a long shot. I am trying to remember the name of a restaurant that was in downtown.
I used to eat there in the late 80s/ early 90s.
At that time, I know it had been around for decades.
It was located between 3rd and 4th street on Walnut or Main. Possibly Sycamore.
The street from 3rd to 4th was a hill.
The entrance was on the sidewalk and not thru the building.
I think it was in the basement under a 3 or 4 story department store or maybe a bank.
It was a diner style place. Think counter stools and booths. Fairly Large.
The waitresses had been there for years.
Blue Plate specials.
Popular with downtown workers. Breakfast and lunch would have been their peak times.
I'm not even sure they were open in the evenings or on weekends.

Thoughts?
