Cost-of-living is only so low in Cincinnati because the suburbs were massively overbuilt 1950-2000 and the cities were left to rot. Also, children from wealthier families keep overpaying for homes on the east side since they are under no pressure to live in the more affordable areas. Take away the inheritances and wedding gifts and prices would be slightly lower on the east side and slightly higher elsewhere.
