I'm usually travelling east on the northeast portion of 275 around 4:10pm. There is a usual backup that starts near the Rt. 42 exit and traffic is slower (50 mph) from there until past the Montgomery Rd. exit. Some days better than others but usually as I described and not too bad to deal with.

Lately it's been clogged at this time. 20 mph and some stop n' go. The sort of traffic that might be expected if heading through this area around 5pm.

Is this a result of the Brent Spence bridge and other road construction far to the south?

I work in Sharonville and my phone always show heavy traffic in that area. 20+ min delays. It is possible for people to be headed that way to avoid the bridge. The message signs says I-75 I-71 closed at bridge, but it is not.

What app are you using for routing and traffic? I have Waze and Maps on my phone but both are not that adept at reporting traffic. They miss stuff my Garmin GPS will find. The Garmin is not very good at routing though and I just bought a new Tom Tom which has better routing and traffic reporting which appears to be as good and possibly better than the Garmin. Looking for an App to use as a backup if I can find one with good traffic reporting. The other night when neither Waze or Maps reported a half hour back up at the Skip Spence Bridge, I knew that they were useless for traffic reporting.

I just use Google maps on my phone and it works fine.

I have tried Google Maps quite a bit in recent weeks and while the routing on it is good, the traffic reporting it not up to snuff. Thankfully my new Tom Tom Go model seems to be doing fine with traffic and the routing is better than the Garmin. Thanks. Will keep Maps and Waze for backup routing but won't count on it for reliable traffic reporting.
