Has anyone been to the LL Bean store in Cincinnati? I've been to the original in Freeport, Maine and it had everything under the sun in stock. Wondering how well stocked the local store is for winter gear such as boots and shoes for winter use.

It's not that large and reminds me of a mall Eddie Bauer store. The Bean Boots are very popular, and they were out of stock for most of last winter. I don't know about their other items. Maybe go to the store and scope out the items then order online. The website runs sales for free shipping quite frequently.

Thanks. I kinda figured the store would not be as large as the Flagship in Freeport. In recent years I have purchased online simply due to the fact I don't live in New England these days. Will at least give this place a look. Probably ordering online will be the easiest way to assure that I get exactly what I want.

LL Bean is a catalogue store. Maybe, once upon a time it required a visit to Freeport ME but not since I became aware of it.

Catalogue stores are best shopped in the catalogue. There is no way that a brick and mortar store can have the SKU's of a thick catalogue. Back in the day, you could order a house or some chickens from the Sears catalogue which you would never find in the store.

If I lived in Freeport ME I'd still order from th catalogue - online.

Since they offer Free Shipping these days it does make ordering by the catalog or online a little easier. But depending upon what I am shopping for, I prefer to get a hands on view of the item I purchase.

Yes, and as you said, it is good to put your hands on the product.
