Default Shellbourne Ave

Here are some pictures taken on Shellbourne between Kingsley and Eastwood Drive. Taken in the summer of 1960.

Is he the one who looks like he's holding a trumpet or something like that?

I'm in the back row far right. Did you live in the building on Shelborne between Kingsley and Strathmore?

We originally lived on Kingsley, heading east from Shellbourne, second building on left. Set back from the first building and next to a bungalo that was next to the alley. We then moved around the corner to Shellbourne, heading north, first bungalo on the left.

The building you lived in on Kingsley would've been directly across the street from where we lived in. There was sort of a parking lot along the alley you mentioned. The ice cream truck would pull in there. On the other side of the alley was a sunken grassy area that would flood when it rained in the summer. Kids and adults alike would go for a dip in it to cool off. Sound familiar? I sort of remember the bungalos along Shelborne you mentioned. I think part of the Farmer's field can be seen in some of the photos you posted. Id I remember right, I think he usually had corn growing in the field.

You are correct. When we moved to Kingsley, a Leon Kesterman lived across the street. Sound familiar ?
