Hi,

We need help. We are relocationg from Atlanta/Vinings area nice suburb outside downtown very nice area with restuarants and shopping close.
We have a 3br 3 1/2 bth townhome very spacious with hardwoods.

I have not seen anything comparable in Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky area.
I would like something similiar to area and spacious living.
Any suggestions as to what areas?

We need to be within 20-30 min of Florence and the airport.

Thanks

Similar to Vinings and close to Florence and the airport? I'd say Fort Thomas, but you may also want to consider Hyde Park. You could be at the airport with 30 minutes easy...Some might say Kenwood or Montgomery but that would be a tough put of a commute.

Are you looking for a high end townhome? There are some newer ones in Mt. Adams also, but you're probably looking 800K +.

If what I think you are looking for is the Paces Ferry part of Vinings then Hyde Park and Hyde Park Square should give a similar feel the neighborhoods near Vinings although older and more established...especially if you compare it to Vinings outside 285

Yeah, I'm going to have to agree with blabber's suggestions

Fort Thomas and some of the other upscale KY suburbs are a good option, although not exactly what you described. Nice neighborhoods, good homes, and within a 20 minute drive - although you won't be super close to shopping and fine dining.

In Ohio, check out Hyde Park, Oakley, Mt Lookout (adjacent upscale neighborhoods). It would be at the upper end of your commute range. 20 minutes in zero traffic, probably 30-45 in traffic. You can definitely find spacious 3/2 houses in your price range, although you'll have to wade through a lot of smaller (think 1500 sqft) bungalows. There are plenty of restaurant and shopping options nearby - although comming from Atlanta, it might even seem too "city" for you. However, the suburban upscale Ohio neighborhoods are going to be well out of your commuting range.

(And yes, I know other people are sick of always hearing people suggest Hyde Park. But hey, it sounds like that's what they are looking for.)

Default Northern Kentucky/Cincinnati

You have many nice communites to choose from. Within your price range explore Florence, Hebron, Burlington and Union. Also you have Independence, Edgewood, Villa Hills, Erlanger and Taylor Mill. Further east in Kentucky, you have Cold Spring, Wilder and Fort Thomas.

While all nice communities, they are nothing like Vinings...however if the original poster is from the East/West Connector Vinings rather than ITP Vinings, than they might be appropriate for them...

Perhaps you're from Smynings?

You could probably even throw Anderson Township into the mix
