So, I will be moving to Cincy later this summer to attend Christ College of Nursing. I currently live in MI, so I dont know anything about the Cincy area, so I need help please.

What are some good areas to live around the school w/ reasonable prices?
What are some good child care providers? Any 24 hour child care centers?
Is traffic really bad?
Is it an overall enjoyable "fun" city?

Of course I'll be going to visit but I dont want to come there "blind". I want to have some kind of idea of what Im looking for, which is why I decided to come here for help. Basically I just need any info about the city that you guys can provide. Also any info about the school if you have any (you may know something about the school that I dont).

Any and all help appreciated...Thanks!

It would help to know the ages of your children and your housing budget. I assume that you have one child under 4. If so, downtown would be a choice.

Christ Hospital is uniquely located at the top of a short hill over looking downtown Cincinnati. That hill, Auburn Ave. has about 6 blocks that are pretty sketchy. Otherwise, you could walk the 1 mile to attractive housing in downtown Cincinnati. I wouldn't do it, but then I'm not a 20 something college student. The center city has numerous child care choices and endless housing choices and amenities. You might find that your budget for housing would be higher in downtown due to the absence of a daily commute.

Otherwise, I suppose you will have to consider the same college housing choices that University of Cincinnati students have. There are web sites devoted to this since UC houses only 3000 of its 25000 students.

With more info, we can be more helpful.

My kids are 1 and 4. I dont want to pay anymore than $700/month and I was hoping for a 3 bdrm, but a 2 bdrm would be just fine.
