THANKS yet again to everybody who stowed provisions and made the trek to Bridgetown last month! The fourth meet-up was the most successful yet, and I looove being able to say that after each one.
For the fifth time around, we're going to venture across the river in order to be a short drive away for all our posters/lurkers from Northern Kentucky. Suggestions for a reasonably-priced, non-chain, Sunday lunch/brunch venue are being sought. I like the Greyhound Tavern m'self - and that's more suitable than one of the yuppie magnets on Greenup St or the terminally upscale Jo-An. Nothing says that the place has to have "American" food (whatever that means anyway.) Everyone who got to the second meet-up, which was at a Chinese restaurant, walked away stuffed n' satisfied.
Let's hear from you!

Seems like all of my fellow drivers want off during the Summer, so a night off is out of the question. But my plan is to just get a couple of power naps on Saunday and just come on down. (Besides, those of you who've already seen me in person know that NO amount of beauty sleep will have any effect on me, anyway...)

As my waistline attests, I rarely pass up a good meal - count me in!

Due to underwhelming (in other words, no) input it can now be told.
The next meet-up will transpire as follows, and if everything doesn't go according to plan 'tain't necessarily a bad thing!

Date/time: Sunday, July 18th, 2010 from 1:30 PM. RSVP to me or Crew Chief so that a table can be reserved. No worries if you can't arrive before quarter o' two, there'll be a place saved. But try to be there by not much later than 2:30.

Place: Greyhound Tavern, 2500 Dixie Highway, Fort Mitchell KY 41017
Think "Ron's Roost" but with more Suth'n food and less German! You definitely need to bring a big appetite to this place. Read all about it at Northern Kentucky Southern Style Dining - The Greyhound Tavern .

Who's invited: Y'all come! Newbies, oldbies, posters, lurkers, babies to grandparents.

Unfortunately, will not be able to make it. Our community hosts a big festival the day prior and I am already committed to clean up and follow up efforts on the 18th! I will be there in spirit and catch me up on what happens!

ONE WEEK FROM TODAY you, too, could be compromising your arteries with dee-lishus fried chicken or Kentucky Hot Brown (no way as nasty as the name sounds) or any number of other goodies. And the company can't be beat! The Greyhound may be old, but the AC works just fine (I've been there on a scorching Cincy summer day before.) Other than the name, it has nothing in common with an interstate bus company much less one of that company's depots. No canines were harmed to turn out any meals there either.
If you've penciled in July 18th on your calendar, go over it in ink and c'mon down!
