Florida has more theme parks but California is where theme parks began. One can't compare Ohio or New York to either Florida or California since theme parks need to be open all year and not just during summer. There are plenty of amusement parks all over the U.S. but theme parks are different and more comprehensive.

Florida followed by California.

Ohio does have great parks ,summer makes it better the fact that Ohio
was even in the mix makes it a trip worth waiting for

I would also say Central Florida.

I would include in SoCal

LA
Disneyland
California Adventure
Six Flags Magic Mountain
Six Flags Hurricane Harbor
Universal Studios Hollywood
Knotts Berry Farm
Knotts Soak City (location in SD also)

San Diego
SeaWorld
Legoland
San Diego Zoo

Default How about water parks in Ohio

U people think most people here curl up in a ball and hibernate ?
doing the Winter Months so WRONG ! Water Parks around Cedar Point are open year long , Plus there is a indoor Mountain Bike place , and
so many of the National Weather Reports are wrong ,a Little snow does not mean We Clevelands's are house bound
