I was recently in Victoria, B.C. last year, and felt no desire to go on to Vancouver, as there was something seriously amiss there.

No color variations! Well, yes, there was. Being that they get so little sun up there, much of the year, some of that white skin actually had a little gray tinge to it, some had little yellow to it, some with a little blue to it.

I've never found squeaky-clean, sterile cities to be interesting! I'm always at home in Central America.

Litter, litter! Where art thou?

Yeah. How about Mexico City: much larger in population then NYC. Second largest in the Americas after São Paulo.

Now to the skylines...

Acapulco...

I've been to Vancouver, and nothing about it screams "unique" to me. It's just a nice city.

Tijuana is the most impressive city I've ever seen. It's imposing in every way. It scares you into living. It's also the only place I've seen a guy take a dump in a gutter while using a car bumper for support.

Are you a pool cleaner? Seriously, a guy came and cleaned the pool to my house when I was in SD and the guy found out we were from MN and asked, literally with a straight face "Does Minnesota have summers?" and then "Do people even have pools in MN?" Ironically that day it was 94 in MPLS and 74 in San Diego.

Anyways, my post was a 100% honest question. I live in the northern most part of our country. I have visited Mexico plenty of times- on Spring Break.... and all you see are the cute little resorts and then the crap butthole rest of the city... Mexico City looks gross... For being "Second in the Americas" in population, the skyline is laughable, it looks like Tulsa, OK. So other than that I have no idea if Mexico has decent, 1st world looking cities with skylines that aren't tourist destinations.

the weird thing about TJ is that on weekend nights (or any night i guess) people go cruising. the main streets are packed with cars driving slow blasting music checking each other out, but there were like 10 people actually walking on the sidewalks doing stuff lol.
