LOL, probably Cleveland although I've never been and I've visited Memphis countless times. Memphis just doesn't do it for me but here's what I will say in Memphis' defense. These are Memphis' pros for me:

-Civil Rights Legacy
-Very distinctive "MS rivertown culture/feel"
-Fed Ex
-A very firm identity
-Lots of gritty architecture (for those of you who love it)
-Three Six Mafia, Project Pat and Gangsta Boo lol. I love all of them!!!

Aside from that, nothing else really "grabbed" me, not even Beale St. but Memphis is a beautiful city with lots of charm and flavor.
No one can deny that.

Well this is a personal opinion, but Cleveland because it isn't in the South.

Cleveland, but also biased because I live here.

What are you basing "crazy poor like foreal" on? The ghettos? Of course they are poor. Downtown, Metro area? Hardly.

I agree with the above ^^ People just love to bash on Cleveland ... most have no idea as to just how much "extreme wealth and opulence there IS in the city of Cleveland", and it's still burgeoning metro area.
Cleveland DOES HAVE some ghettos ( just like any large urban city ), but there's so many beautiful and wealthy enclaves in Cleveland, too.
