Housing costs have come way down in certain parts of Miami. Those costs were probably the biggest turn-off to many people before the bubble.
There are several distinct urban living places from which to choose and dozens upon dozens suburban choices. If you want to buy and hold for the long term, the time is now.
Also, FL doesn't have an income tax. The bulk of our taxes come from real estate and is reflected in the both the total house payment or the monthly rent.
