Actually, if you read the article you will see that this list has absolutely nothing to do with Forbes...or where it is headquartered.
Forbes used a third-party poller "Harris Interactive" who scientifically surveyed 2,000+ Americans by telephone.
Well, AMERICA HAS SPOKEN(Apparently)!!!! Why don't you guys call up those 2000+ Americans and try to convince them that Vegas is NOT AS COOL as NYC. And if they don't comply, send them death threats.
Personally, I think of Vegas as Disney World (Orlando) for Adults. Word association.
Not too bad of a comparison. Too be fair, Orlando outside of Disney, and the tourist area, isn't a bad city. It's not the MOST exciting city, but it's really not that bad. Live music, new neighborhoods downtown, new environmental friendly NBA Arena(1st of it's kind in the NBA), ViMi district(Vietnamese Little Saigon).

Orlando was no doubt voted "cool" by the soccer moms who took their little brats to Disney World and came back with the impression that Disney World (Orlando) was just so gosh darn cool!
And I have a clear mental image of what the people that voted Las Vegas as cool look like. No comment.
