What city has the best nightlife on their waterfronts? This cities with populations of 300,000 or more and have clubs, lounges, restaurants, concerts, festivals, family activities, and live music venues. I thinking waterfronts like the Inner Harbor in Baltimore or something like The Power and Light District in Kansas City but on a waterfront. A city with a vibrant waterfront that can be enjoyed by the fun family crowd as well as young party crowd.

The OP did say fun family crowd. I don't think Miami Beach has that family crowd.

Well Chicago has good family fun on the lake with Navy Pier if that counts as waterfront

Well assuming family crowd is before like 9pm regardless of where you go Miami Beach has plenty to offer a family. Great ocean, food, shopping, museums, parks, New World Symphony, Lincoln Road, a botanical garden, Jackie Gleason Theater, A1A, Ocean Drive. Every time I've been there its pretty family friendly until 11pm.

Haha, true, true. After 11PM, it seems as if EVERY beach city from Miami Beach to West Palm seems un-family friendly.

Kemah, TX...a suburb of Houston.

It has the family friendly area along the Kemah Boardwalk...and then the bawdy and rowdy Kemah Lighthouse District on the other side, easy strolling distance.
