I could've said that I'd have San Diego at no. 8 at 1,360,000 and Dallas standing at around, I don't know, 1,320,000. And I was thinking of city proper, not metros.
The list for my 2010 predictions (large 15 cities)
1. New York City - 8,513,200
2. Los Angeles - 4,173,300
3. Chicago - 2,934,700
4. Houston - 2,391,800
5. Phoenix - 1,647,600
6. San Antonio - 1,501,400
7. Philadelphia - 1,472,900
8. San Diego - 1,382,700
9. Dallas - 1,329,100
10. San Jose - 1,045,000
11. Detroit - 906,200
12. San Francisco - 852,300
13. Jacksonville - 829,600
14. Indianapolis - 819,300
15. Austin - 794,300
I would have said San Antonio could stay at 7th, but Montclair18 said San Antonio is over Philly.

Oh shoot, I must have missed that. San Diego retook the number 8 position from Dallas again as of recent.
Honestly I wanted to say that 7-9 is a toss up, it can go anyway for those three cities, with San Antonio having a clear edge for 7. I think Dallas & San Diego will be the real surprise, San Diego if I remember clearly grew faster than Dallas so it should and seems like it is secured.

Actually i think Philly will be right around 1.6 for 2010, it actually rebounded and grew during the second half of the decade but likely will not pass Pheonix on city proper

If you say San Diego was faster growing than Dallas, than why did you post that San Diego was a weeny bit smaller than Dallas? You should've agreed with my list .
San Diego : 1,375,000 (as 8th)
Dallas : 1,330,000 (as 9th)
But yes, they are both growing. True but how did you know that census numbers will be out it June 2011? Gimme a link. Can you edit your post to show your numbers?!?
