I know Philly has been getting overexposed here somewhat but your first instinct.

Which city do you have a better opinion on Philadelphia or Boston?

Take all aspects into account e.g. people, culture, vibrancy, diversity, geography, locati on,economy, lifestyle,,weather. What city is more appealing to you iyho?

Suburban as well. From what you know, read, heard do you have a more favorable opinion of Bostons metro area or Philadelphia's metro?

edit: Was under the impression you could pick more than 1 option. Was trying to make this a 2 part poll.

Lets concentrate on which Metro you have a more favorable impression.

There are many things that I do admire about Boston. I know I don't say it enough and that I come off as a total douche to that city. But I'll give it credit where it deserves it:

Boston:
- One of the most polished cities in the country
- Retains so much traditional architecture
- Easy access to nearly anywhere in the city
- Beautiful harbor and great shot of the skyline from there
- It is an education mecca to say the least
- Very youthful vibe, and very compact getting around is easy
- The interior to some of the lofts near the core are amazing, the view is gorgeous
- It retains the New England culture so well, it has not lost it's regional culture despite becoming a cosmopolitan city, baller in my opinion

Philadelphia:
- Feels like a larger city
- Has the best location for any major city in the country
- More tolerable winter weather
- Has the more serious atmosphere
- Very historical areas, history runs through it's bloodstream
- Everything is walkable for the most part
- I really like the skyline height and look
- Philadelphia has some really nifty housing options in a very prominent location
- Public transportation is an ease here

What I hate about both is the high density in very compact area, if anything more than a vacation I would go nuts. But for vacationing and visiting it's perfect experiencing that type of environment.

For the metros, I don't really care, I guess Boston, but I prefer Philly city wise. I used to love Boston though.

Boston is probably the better city in most categories but I prefer Philadelphia. don't know anything about the metros, nor do I care.

I think I'd fit in better in Philadelphia than Boston.

I prefer Philadelphia because IMHO.....it has a more "down to Earth attitude there" and it's center city is only surpassed by Manhattan for compactness and vibrancy and possibly by Chicago.
