- Weather - LA
- Diversity (people) - TX (houston is the most diverse city in the country)
- Nightlife - Tie

If California would just get their **** together when it comes to policy, and taxes, TX would have a hard time drawing people there IMO

Id bet any amount of money these two are the same person. Showed up at the same time, dug up old thread, and spouting the exact same opinions.

I prefer the humid subtropic climate and ecology along the Texas coast - lush vegetation with great summer storms/tropical weather events.

Everything else goes to SoCal.

I like Austin and also like Houston. Never been to San Antonio, but I doubt it would be my type of place.
The rest of South Texas is an absolute hole.
The weather sucks, but that's not in their control.

Within Texas, I would still pick South vs North Texas.
Houston Austin combo is better than Dallas Ft Worth combo.

I think a more balanced matchup would be South TX vs South FL

Both LA and San Diego have a very different level of urbanity than anything in Texas. This is no contest.

Is the name of the thread, "Which is more Urban?"

I agree. Everyone in real life doesn't care about how urban a place is.

If south Texas includes Austin, which is better than anything in CA, I choose it over Southern California. If it’s just Houston and other smaller cities, then I’ll go with California.

Agreed, but this isn't real life. It's the "city vs city" section of a city-oriented website. I'd say that the people that post in this section usually care.

That’s because DFW is a metro (although with two Entirely different cities with different feels) but nonetheless still one metro vs two.

I prefer Houston over any of the other 2 metros, but if you include Austin with Houston, just give me DFW so I don’t have to deal with Austin!
