Exactly. But you know because it's Atlanta, and a lot of people seem to think we're the southern equivalent of Detroit. We know what many of them *really* mean.

And then people on this forum wonder why Atlanta posters tend to be a bit on the defensive.

I fell in love with Atlanta first as a younger kid. Grew up admiring the city and always wanted to give living there a shot. Charlotte impressed me a lot the first few times I saw it and I always said that would be an option as well. Fate placed me right in between the 2 when I lived in the Greenville-Spartanburg area. However, I worked at the time fro BofA and was only 55 minutes outside of Charlotte, so I got to know it better. I voted Atlanta but would easily have given Charlotte the win had this been almost any other city than Atl.

Atlanta vs Charlotte has been discussed in the room before, and was closed because just like now, the topic of conversation turned nasty and stereotypical.
